Driver Terms and Conditions
Last updated: June 1, 2026
These Driver Terms and Conditions apply to individuals and entities approved by Splitt E to provide taxi or delivery services through the Splitt E platform. By registering as a driver, you agree to comply with these terms and all applicable laws.
1. Eligibility and registration
You must be of legal age, hold a valid driver’s license, and provide all required documents, identity proof, vehicle information, and background verification materials requested by Splitt E. You are responsible for keeping this information accurate and current.
2. Vehicle and equipment
Your vehicle must be roadworthy, insured, and compliant with local transport and safety regulations. You must maintain valid registration, permits, and inspection documents as required. Splitt E may request proof at any time.
3. Availability and trip acceptance
As a driver partner, you may choose to accept or decline trip requests based on your availability and location. Once you accept a booking, you are expected to proceed in a timely and professional manner. Repeated refusal or late arrival may affect your account standing.
4. Fares, payments, and earnings
Splitt E may calculate fares according to the app’s pricing rules, which may include distance, time, waiting time, demand adjustments, tolls, parking charges, and other approved extras. Payments collected from customers are settled according to the agreed payout structure and processing times.
You are responsible for any taxes, levies, or statutory obligations related to your earnings, as applicable in your jurisdiction.
5. Safety, conduct, and customer care
You must provide safe, courteous, and lawful service at all times. You must not consume alcohol or drugs before or during active trips, and you must comply with traffic laws, local regulations, and all safety instructions provided in the app.
You must respect customer privacy, avoid unnecessary personal conversations, and refrain from discriminatory, aggressive, or inappropriate conduct.
6. Restricted and prohibited items
For parcel delivery, you may only transport items that are lawful and properly declared. Prohibited, hazardous, or undeclared items must not be carried. Splitt E may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these requirements.
7. Account approval and suspension
Splitt E may verify, approve, suspend, or deactivate your account for reasons including fraud, safety concerns, document expiry, poor customer ratings, repeated cancellations, or non-compliance with these terms.
8. Liability and insurance
You remain responsible for the safe operation of your vehicle and your own conduct while providing services. You are expected to maintain appropriate insurance and comply with all local transport obligations. Splitt E may provide operational support but is not a substitute for your own insurance or legal responsibilities.
9. Data and privacy
Splitt E may collect and process your personal and vehicle data, including location, trip logs, and account information, to provide the service, improve safety, and meet legal obligations. You agree to the use of such data as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes and contact
Splitt E may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after updates means you accept the revised terms. For questions or support, contact director@splitt-e.com.
